    The paper provides a description of development and the analysis of concept “a language composition” in fiction texts and in the author’s image as the major and leading phenomena of the text which were fixed historically and traditionally in the world literature. The text is a reflection of reality, and the reality comprehension will define its further development, including features of construction of a language composition of the text.

    “Somebody’s /other’s” in the Russian-language Chechen literature

    The paper characterizes “the image of the country” and “the image of the people” as the key concepts of reception and representation of somebody’s world and the world of others in the conceptual device of imagology. After consideration of features of recent national literary process the author gives the characteristic of work of U.Laudaev, the Chechen educator of the 2nd half of the 19th century, “The Chechen Tribe”, intended for a wide range of Russian readers. This paper provides also the statements of A.Sheripov, who is one of the first who connected the tradition of artistic cultures of the European and Chechen people. The specific analysis of fragments of his works in comparison to texts of Russian classics is given. It is inferred that imagology as the branch of humanitarian knowledge possesses the potential corresponding to the general processes of globalization.

    The comparative analysis of novels “Idiot” and “Doctor Zhivago” shows their similarity to a life genre in the basis of which is the description of the saint’s life. Protagonists of compositions are an embodiment of Christian morals, but they prove to be incomprehensible to everybody around them. Motives of estrangement, wandering, road, etc. testify to presence of elements of life in the novels.

    The paper examines revival and reconstruction of the German mythology by the brothers Grimm. The work purpose is to prove that the romanticism as a literary direction of the end of the 18th - the beginning of the 19th century has drawn attention to myths and folklore. This has allowed the author to give a new estimation to German romanticists in treatment of this point in question.

    Turgenev and Kalambiy. On an interrelation of artistic-esthetic systems

    The paper provides the detailed analysis of a story of Kalambiy “On a hill”. The author compares it to “Notes of the Hunter” of Turgenev written in traditions of “a physiological sketch”, extended in the mid-1840s – the beginning of the 1850s. Typological features of this genre are described. The analysis allows the author to draw a conclusion on their strongly pronounced ideological-thematic, composite and stylistic similarity.

    The paper examines esthetic features of “small” prose on a modern theme in the Adyghe literature of the 1980-2000s. In the course of the philological analysis ways of artistic realization of a modern theme and creation of many-sided characters of personages are revealed. As a result of research spiritually-esthetic directions and genre-structural preferences of Adyghe modern prose are defined. The author comes to a conclusion that the Adyghe literature ascends to a qualitatively new level of the development.

    Christmas theme in Wilkie Collins's creativity

    The paper defines the role and value of Christmas theme in creativity of English writer W.Collins. The primary goal of research is the analysis of Christmas text interpretations and revealing a complex of genre-forming elements – types of plots, archetypes and images. Collins continues traditions of “Christmas” prose of Dickens. However, he not only glorifies Christmas as a great holiday of a family and human values, but also expands thematic frameworks of the story. Sensational nature, entertaining and dramatic nature are in a basis of his “Christmas” narration.

    Creative person of A.T.Gubin (As shown by the materials of letters, memoirs, essays and interviews)

    Separate lines of A.T.Gubin’s creative individuality are revealed on the basis of a material of his epistolary and publicist works and memoirs about him. Features of creative process and literary work and relations with colleagues are considered. The obtained material shows that Gubin-creator was an original writer, who was characterized by great working capacity, complete creative self-return and by high self-appraisal.

    The paper characterizes social and historical conditions and theoretical sources of the literature of the 20th century which have influenced evolution of a method. Typological features of classical realism are disclosed. The special attention is given to a historicism principle. After consideration of a crisis of the naive historicism caused by new realities, the various modifications of realism which were extended in the newest time are given, namely: realism of the 20th century, socialist realism and magic realism.

    Genre specificity of Kalmyk national riddles

    In the paper, one of the poor studied genres of Kalmyk folklore – riddles – is considered. An attempt is undertaken to define features of their genre specificity, thematic originality, informative importance, features of functioning, as well as of poetics and style. Results of the complex analysis demonstrate that their style corresponds to aphoristic genres of the Mongolian-speaking people. At the same time it is characterized by a unique national originality.

    Linguoculturological aspect of functioning of the media text in a modern information society

    The purpose of this study is systematization of the foreign theories of the text and an attempt to adapt them to the analysis of specificity of the media text. A methodological basis of the work is the linguoculturological approach, which allowed the authors to realize the problems of multidimensional research of the language and structure of the journalistic text. The urgency of this work is proved by novelty of the theme, its poor study and by insufficient degree of theorization and systematization of a publicistic discourse.

    Treatment of the Caucasian War in English press and in memoirs of the 1830-1850s

    The purpose of this work is to examine treatment of the events taken place in the Caucasus in the 1830 – 1850s in the British press and in memoirs of English authors who have appeared to be eyewitnesses of military operations in Zakubanye. For this purpose, the author investigated tendencies in treatment of the Russian policy in the Caucasus in the English periodical press of that time and features of interpretation of the facts in James Bell's memoirs, etc. As a result, the conclusions are drawn on specificity of giving information on the Caucasus in periodicals of the Great Britain and on activity of the English emissaries who have induced mountain tribes to conduct armed actions against Russia.

    Specificity of transformation of satirical creativity of Alexander Amfiteatrov

    The purpose of this work is to analyze stages of formation of satirical skill of Alexander Amfiteatrov – from the satirical magazine “Alarm clock” to the Parisian oppositional magazine “The Red Banner”. For this goal it was necessary to solve a number of problems: to investigate the Tiflis period of creativity of Amfiteatrov and his work as a correspondent of Suvorin’s” “New time”, as well as his flying up related to the publication of the feuilleton “Mr. and Mrs. Obmanov” published in the newspaper “Russia” in 1902, which has glorified him. As a result, in the paper, the author shows specificity of creative activity of Alexander Amfiteatrov and transformation of his political views.

    The aim of the paper is to display the importance of influences of more developed foreign linguocultures for forming up the evolutional type of the Germanic modern languages in their prehistoric period. The trichotomy of exoglossia vs. diglossia vs. polyglossia that completes the traditional notion of Germanic languages´ genotype is in the focus of attention. The contactological analysis of the exoglossic influences in the early linguogenesis of Germanic language forms proves the interconnection of the evolutional modus and the genetic specification of a language.

    This paper continues the earlier touched subject concerning the application of names of metals and smithwork in Kabardian-Circassian onyms and appellatives. At the same time the development of linguoculturems with a specific ethnic character is considered to be a result of long evolutional process.     Sound world of the music of the Turkic people

    This work provides the characteristic of sound world of Turkic music. Long and low, short and high musical signals, being formed in the steppe and mountains of Central Asia, in the author’s opinion, define the geographical aspects of ethno-hearing. Using a comparative-typological method, the author comes to a conclusion that a timbre-register model of sound/tone, characteristic of music of the Turkic people, is connected with nonmusical components such as speech/language and light/color.

    American Regionalism, Mexican Muralism in the Art and Work of Jackson Pollock

    This paper touches upon the subject that hasn’t virtually been developed yet in Russian Art History, namely: the description of early period of creative work of the first-rate American avant-garde artist Jackson Pollock. Using the body of English-language literature and examining biography of the painter, the author comes to a conclusion that formation of art principles of Pollock is caused by his contact with works of American regionalist Thomas Hart Benton and Mexican muralist Jose Clemente Orozco. Their art has had strong influence on formation of individual style of Pollock which, in second half of the 1940s, has received the name “action painting”.
