EVOLUTION OF CHINA'S FOREIGN POLICY CONCEPTS (1949 – THE BEGINNING OF THE XXI CENTURY)

China is the largest economy in the world in terms of purchasing power parity of GDP, the second most populous state on the globe and the fourth largest country among the members of the world community. These parameters alone are sufficient enough to let even a simple layperson realize the role of the PRC in the world community. In fact, China currently ranks second in the world after the United States in terms of its economic, political, and military potential, without any reservations. It begs the question: what transformations happened to the former poorest semi-colony in the world during the period from 1945 to the beginning of the XXI century and why? The answer to this question lies not only in the study of China's socio-economic and domestic political development in the second half of the XX - early XXI centuries, but also in the examination of the country's foreign policy strategy, the optimization of which has become an integral part of its economic success. The purpose of the article is to identify the evolution of foreign policy.

ROLE OF FRANCE IN THE SETTLEMENT OF THE LIBYAN CONFLICT

It is not a secret to anyone that December 2010 marked the beginning of the series of anti-government armed uprisings in many countries of North Africa and the Middle East, generally known as the "Arab Spring". Despite the fact that 12 years have passed since the protests and riots took place, such states as Syria, Yemen, Iraq, Sudan, have not been able to normalize the political situation and transition to restoration of economic, social and humanitarian spheres, and Libya in this case is no exception. The region has been and remains one of the hotspots where against the backdrop of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, Arab-Israeli contradictions, terrorist activities in the Sahel-Saharan region, and escalation in Syria, a new outbreak of violence may occur. At present, the chaotic situation in Libya has claimed the lives of many civilians, and the damage in several major cities is such that it will take decades for the country to restore economic stability, and Paris bears a significant responsibility for the civil war in Libya. The purpose of this study is to analyze the dynamics of the Libyan crisis as well as consider the role of France in the process of its settlement.

CHARACTERISTICS AND RESULTS OF TRADE DEVELOPMENT IN KUBAN IN 1924-1927

The relevance of the problem under consideration is determined by the important role of trade in modern Russia, which is one of the main factors of socio-economic development of the country. In shaping an effective trade policy for the Russian state, the use of historical experience in organizing trade activities in previous periods is of great importance. Of particular interest is the period of the 1920s, during which the implementation of a new economic policy took place. During this time, state, cooperative, and private enterprises were involved in trade. Their interaction and the regulatory role of the state in organizing trade activities can be useful in improving the trade policy of modern Russia. The object of the study is trade activities under the conditions of the New Economic Policy (NEP). The aim of the research is to analyze the trading activities in Kuban during the period under consideration. The research tasks include identifying the conditions for the development of trade in 1924-1927, analyzing the trade policy of the Bolshevik Party and the Soviet state during the climax of the New Economic Policy (NEP), and highlighting the main directions and results of trade activities in Kuban during this period. As a result of the research, a detailed analysis of the trading activities in Kuban in 1924-1927 was carried out, based on which conclusions were drawn reflecting the nature and results of trade development in Kuban during the period under consideration.

THE NORTH CAUCASUS IN THE RELATIONSHIP WITH RUSSIA, TURKEY AND IRAN FROM THE END OF THE XVII CENTURY TO THE FIRST THIRD OF THE XVIII CENTURY

The period from the end of the XVII century to the first third of the XVIII century is a turning point in the historical development of the North Caucasus. The Caucasus region was caught in a series of continuous wars, the frequency and scale of which exceeded all previous epochs. The North Caucasus found itself in the triangle of major players on the international stage. A weakened Iran and a crumbling Ottoman Empire sought to solve their foreign policy and domestic problems by acquiring Caucasian territories. The Russian Empire expanded its borders. The rival powers made the Caucasus lands the field of their confrontation. The population of the region involuntarily got involved in a political game imposed from outside. The Caucasian peoples, not always fully aware of all the nuances of the great game, were forced to make decisions and bear all the burdens of their "choice" in difficult conditions. In modern times, the Caucasian region remains a geopolitical outpost that witnesses numerous battles. The problem is relevant because its study allows us to explain the reasons why interest in the region has not weakened even today. The aim of the article is to study the policies of Russia, Turkey, and Iran in the context of the local political realities of the North Caucasus during the analyzed period.

SOCIAL IDENTITY OF THE BORDER TERRITORIES OF WESTERN KAZAKHSTAN POPULATION: MODERN TRENDS AND SOCIO-DEMOGRAPHIC SPECIFICS

The article aims to study modern trends and determine socio-demographic specifics of the components of the social identity of the population in the border regions of Western Kazakhstan (Atyrau and Mangystau). The relevance of this topic is determined by the dynamism and mobility of certain components of social identity, primarily in terms of foreign policy orientations. The Caspian territory is an object of geopolitical interest for many international actors, not all of whom are currently pursuing a friendly policy towards the Russian Federation. In this regard, self-perception of the local population is an important point in predicting the further development of social processes near the borders of Russia, as well as a necessary basis for developing Russian foreign policy in this region. Social identity was investigated using both quantitative (online survey) and qualitative (focused group interviews) research methods. In the mass survey, the object of research was the population of the Atyrau and Mangistau regions. The respondents were selected using a quota sampling method, ensuring that the sample was representative in terms of gender and age. Additionally, the number of respondents was determined based on the population size of the respective locations. Focused group interviews were conducted among young students aged 18 to 23, who were citizens of Kazakhstan residing in the Atyrau and Mangystau regions prior to their education in Russia. The results of the study indicate the prevalence of a civic component in the structure of identity. The population of the border regions of Western Kazakhstan takes pride in their civic and ethnic identity, displaying a considerable level of patriotism and conservatism, while remaining apolitical. Instrumental usage of the Russian language remains as a trend and it’s still widespread in various spheres of everyday life. The socio-demographic differences that have been identified raise concerns for our country. The youth and residents of small towns demonstrate less favorable attitudes towards Russia in terms of foreign policy orientation and are more supportive of the transition of the Kazakh language to Latin script. This necessitates further monitoring of the social identity of the population of these territories, where the use of big data analysis methods and other contemporary methods may be promising.

FAMILY VALUES IN THE PERCEPTION OF THE YOUTH OF THE REPUBLIC OF ADYGHEA: BASED ON THE RESULTS OF A SOCIOLOGICAL SURVEY

The demographic situation in our country causes serious concern: for several decades there has been a natural population decline, compensated only by migration growth. The institution of the family is undergoing a transformation, the result of which is the instability of marriages (a large number of divorces) and a drop in the birth rate. In these conditions, the study of marriage and family attitudes of young people and ideas about the family is extremely relevant. The article presents the results of an empirical study - a survey conducted in January-April 2023 in the Republic of Adyghea, devoted to studying attitudes towards family life, family values, and reproductive attitudes of young people, many of whom have yet to start a family. The respondents were students studying at universities and colleges of the republic. The questionnaire prepared by the authors of the article included questions on various topics: reproductive attitudes, relationships within the family and with relatives, leading family values. The results of the survey showed a responsible attitude of respondents towards family life, as well as a partial change and erosion of traditional ideas about the family and the responsibilities of family members.

THE PHENOMENON OF THE COMMUNICATIVE PERSONALITY IN THE FIELD OF INTERCULTURAL COMMUNICATION

The post-industrial information reality has emphasized the central role of communication in the life of a society. The communicative individual, as the development of the linguistic individual, functions both as an object and as a subject of the information-communicative paradigm. Under these conditions, the linguistic competence of the individual (phonetics, vocabulary, morphology, syntax and genre-stylistic aspect) is supplemented by the knowledge of cultural codes, moral and holistic norms and non-verbal tools, generating the formation of a communicative personality. The multidimensionality of this phenomenon is actualized in the axiological, epistemological and behavioral perspectives, which function in different ways in the sociocultural fields of communications. The transactional model of the commutative personality is a combination of two subsystems, where the internal part is reflected through language connections, and the external one represents the behavioral aspect. The process of sociocultural communication, according to this model, occurs when the goals and motives of the communicants, their ability to establish and maintain communication, their knowledge and experience, as well as the availability of communicative personalities, skills and abilities to maintain and develop interaction, are realized. Globalization, digitalization, the Internet and other technologies have brought intercultural interaction of individuals to a global scale. In order to function successfully in these conditions, the communicative personality must acquire not only linguistic and communicative competencies but also intercultural competence - knowledge of foreign cultures, their specificities, and languages. Intercultural communication takes place within the framework of the "own" - "foreign" opposition, in accordance with the confrontation between the "self" and the "Others" in the context of dialogic relationships. The success of intercultural interaction contributes to the development of communicants (communicative personalities), provides access to social elevators and improves the quality of life.

ANALYSIS OF THE DYNAMICS OF SOCIO-CULTURAL CHARACTERISTICS OF SUICIDAL RISKS OF RUSSIAN YOUTH

For a number of reasons, the Russian Federation finds itself in a difficult demographic situation, with mortality rates significantly exceeding birth rates, and one of the reasons for this is the high level of suicidal activity among the population. It is characteristic of modern Russian society that it does not favor the personal development of young people, but instead generates various threats and risks. Sociocultural factors that determine suicidal risks are constantly changing due to the inherent tectonic mobility of the socio-cultural environment. Among the main risks that influence the suicidal activity of young people, the following have been identified: religious factors, factors of social stratification, socio-economic factors, factors of individualization (atomization) of society, and factors of networking and digitalization of the information space. Religious factors can influence the suicidal activity of young people, as certain religious beliefs or doctrines can pressure young people and create a sense of hopelessness or guilt, which can contribute to the development of suicidal thoughts. The factors of social stratification also play a role in the suicidal activity of young people. Inequality, discrimination, and the lack of opportunities for social advancement can cause a sense of helplessness and despair among young people, which can lead to suicidal thoughts. Social and economic factors, such as unemployment, low income, or family instability, can create stressful conditions for young people, which may increase the risk of developing suicidal tendencies. The factors of networking and digitalization of the information space can also increase the risk of suicidal behavior among young people. Social networks and the Internet provide limitless opportunities for communication and obtaining information, but they can also become a source of negative influence.

On the the generation of closed trajectories from two separatrix loops of a sewn saddle-node passing through a fork

We consider a two-parameter family of piecewise-smooth discontinuous vector fields in the plane. At zero values of the parameters, it is assumed that the vector field has a singular point on the discontinuity line of the sewn saddle-node type, the outgoing separatrix of which branch-es out and goes to the sewn saddle-node, forming two loops. In general position, we obtain a partition of the neighborhood of zero on the parameter plane by the number and type of closed trajectories born from these loops.

Statistical methods in SWOT analysis: choosing a development strategy for a student organization

The strategic development of a university is connected to the choice of development strategies. SWOT analysis is an effective tool that helps to find the right development strategy. Due to its versatility, this method allows one to determine possible strategies for the development of a stu-dent organization. There is no generally accepted method in the literature for conducting SWOT analysis, which made it necessary to develop such a method and test it on the example of the development of a university student organization. This paper presents the results of a study on the use of SWOT analysis based on statistical methods. The study provides methodological recommendations for creating the SWOT matrix, which reflects the relative frequency of events that influence the choice of a particular strategy. The authors present their approach to calculating the rank of strategies, which have been identified using SWOT analysis. They also consider the potential of the educational organization, the share of budget funds necessary to organize the planned event, the possible impact of “opportunities/threats” on the effective functioning of the student organization and the impact of the corresponding strategy on degree of satisfaction with the work of the student organization. This will reduce the risk of making the wrong decision when doing a SWOT analysis, due to the subjectivity of expert assessments and the predisposition of respondents to a particular strategy. The proposed procedure for statistical substantia-tion of SWOT analysis will increase the reliability of the data obtained as a result of the study and to correctly determine promising strategies for the development of a student organization. Based on the SWOT analysis, the identified strategies could improve the efficiency of the student organization.

Analytical solutions of heat conduction problems with time-dependent boundary conditions

Using the additional function (AF) and additional boundary conditions (ABC), we found an ana-lytic solution to the boundary value problem of heat conduction for a plate with a boundary condition of the first kind linearly changing in time. The use of AF leads the equation in partial derivatives to a time ordinary differential equation, the solution of which allows one to find the eigennumbers determined in classical methods from the Sturm-Liouville boundary value prob-lem formulated in spatial variable. ABCs enable the execution of the equation at the boundaries, thereby ensuring its satisfaction within the studied region, without the need for direct integration of the equation with respect to the spatial variable. The least squares method is utilized to satisfy the initial condition, thereby enabling the determination of integration constants with a specified level of precision. This eliminates the necessity for defining complex integrals with respect to the spatial coordinate, while still preserving the analytical expression of the derived solution. There fore, in this case, an alternative approach for determining eigennumbers is examined. ABCs en-able the execution of the equation at the boundaries, thereby ensuring its satisfaction within the studied region, without the need for direct integration of the equation with respect to the spatial variable. The least squares method is used to satisfy the initial condition, thereby enabling the determination of integration constants with a specified level of precision. This eliminates the necessity for defining complex integrals with respect to the spatial coor.

The development of a geoinformation system-based module for the placement of charging stations in the context of electric transportation

Currently, there is global effort towards the development of electric transport as a replacement for traditional vehicles powered by internal combustion engines, which have a harmful effect on the environment due to carbon emissions from fuel combustion. Modern electric vehicles, electric-powered public transportation, and personal electric vehicles are being widely adopted. However, this process creates the need to implement specialized charging stations, since the devices have a limited capacity of energy storage and require regular charging. In urban areas, this task presents several challenges due to the need for optimal placement of charging stations within the road network. Factors such as route usage frequency, the pro-portion of electric vehicles, and battery charging time must be taken into consideration. Fortunately, the availability of power lines in urban environments provides numerous possibilities for the establishment of charging networks. However, the situation becomes more complex in rural or inaccessible terrains, such as mountain resorts or protected areas. In these areas, more difficulties arise due to rough terrain and the possible absence of power lines. Consequently, one potential solution is to utilize local renewable energy sources to power charging complexes. This paper proposes the development of a geoinformation system-based module for locating charging stations in rough terrains.

SOCIO-PEDAGOGICAL PREVENTION OF VAPING ADDICTION AMONGST THE YOUTH

The article considers the issues of socio-pedagogical prevention of vaping addiction amongst the youth and highlights the main components in each of the models of smoking prevention among young people. Such addiction has medical and social consequences – general lack of energy, weakness, insomnia and short attention span. The authors conclude that the socio-pedagogical prevention of vaping addiction lies not in the impact on the subject of addiction, but the impact on the psychology of young people, training their resilience, resistance to smoking and addiction to nicotine. A successful solution to the problem of vaping addiction among young people is a guarantee of a longer life in modern Russia, since smokers are more prone to cardiovascular diseases, their average life expectancy is 8.5 years less. The authors identified the main goal of socio-pedagogical prevention of vaping addiction amongst the youth, which should be aimed at raising awareness of the dangers of electronic cigarettes, training young people to be resistant to nicotine addiction and influencing the psychology of young people. A significant role in dealing with vaping addiction among young people is played by preventive work, which helps to set the mood and visualize information. This, in turn, is a material for independent reflection, which often helps to motivate to change behavior. It is important to eradicate the propaganda of vape smoking and emphasize what consequences it carries. It is necessary to start solving this problem right now, as the addiction to vape is growing rapidly every year.

MODEL OF FORMATION OF RESPONSIBLE FINANCIAL BEHAVIOR AMONG STUDENTS OF HIGHER EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS

The article deals with the problem of developing responsible financial behavior among students of higher educational institutions, which has acquired particular relevance in difficult economic and political conditions. The economy of Russia is facing new political challenges that are constantly changing its structure from competing states that want to gain global economic influence while maintaining the dominance of a unipolar world. Taking provocative, often unlawful measures to destabilize the economic stability of Russia, as the world's main economic competitor, is the primary task of the United States of America and the countries of the collective West. The solution to complex financial and economic problems predicted for a long period cannot be effectively achieved without solving the issues of financial and economic education of citizens within each state. Therefore, one of the main tasks of the leadership of our country is the creation of a social society with the qualities of responsible financial behavior developed among citizens. The Russian education system, implementing the state order to increase the coverage and quality of financial and economic education of students in higher educational institutions, as a target group of the population constituting the potential for future development of Russia, is aimed at solving this issue by creating a pedagogical model for the formation of responsible financial behavior. PERSONAL BEHAVIOR RESEARCH IN STRESSFUL SITUATIONS OF THE EDUCATIONAL PROCESS (ON THE EXAMPLE OF THE PRE-EXAMINATION PERIOD)

In a person's life, a sufficiently large number of situations can cause a state of stress. Situations that arise during the learning process, such as the exam procedure, are already habitually considered one of these social situations. Currently, we have to admit that tension and anxiety accumulate throughout the entire period of preparation for exams. Information overload and the "pre−start state" − waiting for exams to approach - are powerful stressors that affect almost all students. This adversely affects the psychosomatic health of the individual, and can also lead to destructive, deviant forms of behavior. In this article, the authors present the results of an empirical study of some features of the behavior of 9th, 11th grade students and first-year students in the pre-examination period. The conducted research suggests that the behavior in stressful situations of both schoolchildren and students has the same characteristics (which is expressed in standard emotional, cognitive and behavioral patterns, approximately the same level of stress and anxiety), however, the factors of such behavior are different and depend on the expected consequences of the situations experienced, as well as the available predictors that affect changes in the behavior of students.

EXPERIMENTAL CONFIRMATION OF THE EFFECTIVENESS OF THE MODEL OF FOSTERING CITIZENSHIP THROUGH VOLUNTEER WORK

The political situation in the world and around our country nowadays dictates certain rules, which are based on updating information among teenagers about events related to the history of our country, the result of knowledge of which will be the strengthening of patriotism and the formation of a stable civic position of a modern schoolchild. It is important to create the right guidelines in working with students in order to prevent the minds of schoolchildren from fake news that discredits the Fatherland, which can negatively affect the civic worldview of a teenager. Volunteering can play a crucial part in this case. It is through volunteer work in the challenging conditions that our state faces today, it is possible to form a stable civic position in a short time, keep a positive result, translate the acquired knowledge and skills to the immediate social environment of students, which will contribute to the transformation of the personality of students in the process of fostering citizenship through volunteer work. It is important to understand that a modern teenager needs activities carried out within the information field that are of interest and which can later help them become a true citizen of the country. Volunteering provides opportunities for each student to express themselves, to participate in various forms of volunteer work at a range of levels, and, undoubtedly, fostering citizenship through volunteer work is an important component of the image of a true citizen of the country and an integral part of the development of the socio-economic field of the country. The formation of citizenship through volunteerism contributes to the creation of a positive image of the country and society as a whole, and raises the authority of the state in the international arena. The article presents a formative experiment on fostering citizenship in adolescents in volunteer work. 500 teenagers took part in the formative experiment: 396 people (14-15 years old) (198 each in the control and experimental groups) and 104 (16-17 years old) (52 each in the control and experimental groups). Planned, systematic and purposeful activity of the formative experiment aimed to solve problems which were identified in the ascertaining experiment. We monitored changes in respondents and revealed patterns, mechanisms, and dynamics of personality formation. We created special situations in the formative experiment; organization and functioning of voluntary teams will contribute to the development of new types of activities. The theoretical basis of the formative experiment lies in the concept of the leading role of training and education in mental development. As part of the formative experiment, the priority was the active transformation of the personal qualities of participants in voluntary teams in order to form citizenship. The main objectives of the formative experiment were: establishing non-accidental connections between pedagogical conditions and reliable results of the experiment, comparing options for psychological and pedagogical influence and choosing the optimal time according to performance criteria, assessing the efforts made, using tools and methods; detection of cause-and-effect patterns between phenomena, their presentation in qualitative and quantitative forms.

FORMATION OF LEGAL CONSCIOUSNESS OF FUTURE TEACHERS IN THE STUDYING EDUCATIONAL LAW

The transformation of Russian society involves research into legal consciousness. This article analyzes the concept of “legal consciousness”, the features of the legal consciousness of future teachers. Given the current situation in Russia, it is important to form a patriotic legal consciousness while educating the younger generation. In modern conditions, legality and order are becoming a necessary condition for the development of a legal society. To do this, one should pay attention to the formation of a professional legal consciousness, filled with special applied knowledge about the law. The model of forming legal culture involves the development of intelligence, broadening the horizons of legal concepts, the formation of attitudes and moral and legal value orientations, and the activation of independent search activities of students. In this case, the main role belongs to educational institutions; the ability to work with legal documents is improved during lectures, seminars, and practical classes. Consequently, a young specialist in the field of pedagogy must be psychologically ready to accept what is happening in society. From these positions, legal culture represents the active lawful behavior of an individual in society; it is closely related to the level of moral consciousness. In this regard, it is important that education programs for teachers include courses and trainings aimed at acquiring the legal knowledge, ethical values and practical skills necessary for teachers to work effectively in the legal and ethical aspects of their work. The results of a study on the level of formation of legal consciousness of students studying educational law were presented as well as brief recommendations on the formation of legal consciousness among future teachers were given.

The study aims to identify the most substantiated theories that can be used as the basis for the methodology of the concept analysis, which is currently under development. It helps to determine the novelty and relevance of the article. It is revealed that the con-cept of personality, which occurs in postmodern literature, differs significantly from the types of previous literary eras, first of all, in that the hero ceases to be the central figure of the work. Now, it is viewed from the perspectives of decentralization, self-alienation, out-of-placeness, dominance of irrational and physiological impulses.

“Language Games” in V. Pelevin's novel “Empire V”

The article examines the artistic discourse of literature and language on the example of V. Pelevin's novel «Empire V». The «metaphorical» novel «about vampires», written in the genre of fantasy, becomes a multi-layered artistic reflection on the nature and functions of language. For this purpose, the author uses images-symbols. The author explores not only the dominant nature of language, which affects the continuity and growth of neophyte writers like the main character, but also the individual psyche and personality of people. In the author's view, the artistic language represents a special kind of power that affects the politics and social structure of society, and representatives of the writers' guild - the secret «Fifth Empire» (one of the interpretations of the title of the novel «Empire V») control the race of people and form it at their discretion. Through the metaphorical and symbolic context, the article provides an opportunity to rethink the extraordinarily expanded and deepened ideas about literature and language as a result of the creative self-reflection of the writers themselves.

Confession as a leading stylistic feature in the lyric poetry of Chechen poet Khusein Satuev

The article examines the role of confession as a method in the little-studied lyric poetry of Chechen poet Khusein Satuev, whose work developed in the paradigm of the sixties. The author reveals structural and semantic meaning of basic concepts of archetypes of national consciousness and artistic techniques of realization of confessionary motives. Confession is interpreted as a way of reflecting the author’s consciousness, his feelings and thoughts, as an opportunity to expand the range of depiction of the inner world of the lyrical hero - the alter ego of the biographical au-thor. It is noted that the poet’s inner world and his psyche are inextricably linked with nature, which gives him the strength to withstand external threats. Kh. Satuev expresses all his feelings and emotions with the help of natural metaphors that are created in the spatial paradigm. A single semantic space in the lyrics of the Chechen poet is formed through the artistic device of personification, which is traced in national folk poetry. The identified motive complex confirms that confession is one of Kh. Satuev’s stable creative techniques.

Particular attention is paid to sociolinguis-tic and psycholinguistic studies at the turn of the 20th and 21st centuries, which were identified as monolingual, and multilingualism was seen as a deviation from existing norms, which led to an insufficient analysis of the multilinguality of an individual’s linguistic consciousness in modern linguistics. We study the linguistic competencies of a recipient who has representative components of interference deviations in oral and written speech as a result of national-foreign language contact. The study provides a solution to the problem of multilingual communication and represents a study of trilingualism as the most common form of realization of multilingual competen-cies of the recipient.
